The Leader in Weatherproof Exterior Wall Coatings™

CHIC Liquid Vinyl System

North Atlantic Painting Co. Inc. was chosen to be an independent authorized CHIC Liquid Vinyl dealer in the Maine Area. The CHIC Advanced Coating System is not a paint, but is a unique liquid-applied coating system specifically engineered to be the best defense for your walls against the elements.

  • Long-Term Value

Low odor and environmentally friendly, the CHIC® Liquid Vinyl System is proven to outperform conventional paints and coatings, providing unprecedented long-term value.

  • Protection & Durability

To provide the greatest protection for your building’s exterior, the CHIC Liquid Vinyl System bonds proprietary high-strength polymers together. The result is unmatched beauty and durability, as well as superior strength and weather resistance.

  • Environmentally Friendly

In order to incorporate only the best technology available, we use no PVAs, ceramic fillers or potentially harmful PVCs in our products.

“We are very pleased with the dramatic improvement that the CHIC process has made to our home. All our friends say that it’s the best thing we’ve done since we started renovating…”

Our quality speaks for itself...but we love it when our customers speak for us.

Exterior Painting Tips

  • 1

    Remove Dust, Dirt, and Mildew

Use a cloth or soft brush to clean off any dust and dirt from the surfaces to be painted. Remove chalk residue with a brush or water, and be sure to remove any mildew.

  • 2

    Clean Gutters, Downspouts, and Eaves

When preparing a house for painting, be sure to clean and prime your gutters and downspouts before painting. Under eaves, wash protected areas with a garden hose, using a strong stream of water.

  • 3

    Prep Masonry and Stucco Surfaces

If your brick or masonry surface is streaked with a white powder or efflorescence, you can remove it with a wire brush and scraper. Take care to find and eliminate the cause of any efflorescence.

Interior Painting Tips

  • 1

    Picking Colors

The best way to choose a color is to try it out first. You can never make a good decision based on looking at the color swatch in the store. Take it home and tape it to the wall to see how it works within the space and with your room's lighting.

  • 2

    Clearing the Room

Typically, all wall hangings, window treatments, appliances, and furniture will need to be moved by the customer prior to our arrival. We’re happy to assist with moving large furniture or appliances at the customer’s request.

  • 3

    Washing the Walls

Because surface dirt can cause poor adhesion, use a light detergent to wash surfaces that are soiled, that are touched often, or that may have any oily residue from cooking. Take care not to leave any residue from the detergent.
